Children of Drones

Children of Drones is a collaboration with children of the United States and in the drone-strike regions of Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq and Syria. Using art and creativity as a vehicle for incite and therapy the perception and memories of daily experiences with drone surveillance and attacks are drawn by the children of the US and these war torn regions. The images are reproduced and transformed into plush toys imitating the manner that drone technology is soft-sold and neutralized to the American audience. This duality will depict the horrifying and often intuitive perspectives children of the world have on this ominous technology and serves as an opportunity for families to respond directly to the conditions American drones have created in their lives, while offering to the world a unique perspective and helping to inform the public at large.
